I have prepared 37 slides PP
Now I need to insert music and narration.
I have recorded the narration and music to CD and copied it to "My Music"
Can some helpful person take me "gently" through the steps to bring everything to gether?
Then I would like to burn this to CD's and DVD's
Thanking you in anticipation

Go to the Insert Menu and select Insert>Music and Sounds>From File. You'll get a dialog box that will let you browse for your file that you said you had placed in My Music. Select your file. Powerpoint will drop an icon that looks like a horn on your screen. If you want to adjust things like the length of time it plays, when it starts, etc., right-click on the horn and select "Custom Animation" from the menu that will appear when you right-click. A box will pop up and if you double-click on the name of your music file, you'll get another box filled with lots of editable options. Select what you want.

Since you plan to move everything to a CD, you need to ensure that links
will not "break". PowerPoint links to media files, which means that it just
inserts a pointer to the file and does not embed the actual file in the
presentation. If you link to files in My Music and then move your
presentation to a CD, when the presentation is played, PowerPoint will be
looking for the files in "My Music". Needless to say, they will only be
found if the CD is played on your system. On any other system the files
will not be in My Music.

So, copy the sound files and move them to the folder where your presentation
is stored. Then use Insert > Music > Music from File to insert the various
files on your slides. If you've already inserted them incorrectly you'll
need to delete them and reinsert them.

Once everything is ready, burn to a CD and then test the CD on a couple of
systems to ensure that the links work. For more information see:

Sounds/Movies don't play or links break when I move or email a presentation

Open your presentation in PowerPoint, select the slide where you want the music
to start, and then go to Insert > Movies and Sounds > Sound from File. That
will get you started, but come back here with any new questions that generates.
