Insert video tab Frontpage 2000 inoperative

I want to insert a video (mpeg file) in my website. The drop down menu in
Frontpage 2000 has a tab for inserting video, but it is dark (inoperative).
Have reinstalled, searched help, gone to microsoft website - no help, ended
up here.
Anyone have any ideas?

Check your options and make sure you are not using all types of browsers
(meaning fully backward compatible to the very first browsers). If you are,
the options that the earliest browsers could not use are greyed out. That is
most likely why you are seeing this.

This feature is designed to keep you compatible at the level you have stated
(and is the default in some versions of FrontPage (do not remember default
level in 2000, sorry)). A sane approach is just making sure that you are
supporting what is currently the minimum level of the commonly used browsers,
unless you look at your logs and see you have enough clients (users) using
really old browsers.
