INSERT MUSIC DOES NOT WORK, WORDS ARE SHAEDED AND NOT CLICKABLE

I have 2002 Works suite with my Dell. The power point program does not seem
t be working correctly. When I click on certain options should as insert
picture or music the next step of options is grayed out and not available. I
will like to insert pictures and sound from other files, but the program does
no allow me the option. What is wrong?

Works doesn't include PowerPoint. It may be that Dell installed a trial version
of Office 2003, which would have given you a limited number of uses. After that
it goes into "reduced functionality" mode ... it lets you open and view
presentations but not edit them. That might account for the grayed out edit
controls you're seeing.

Does this sound like it might explain things?
