Insert Hyperlink > Browsed Pages -- how to clear list??

How can I clear the list of Browsed Pages in the Insert Hyperlink dialog? The
sites there seem to be a random list of certain past sites I've visited (some
that I'd rather not have listed), not necessarily the most recent sites or the
most frequent ones, etc. Just arbitrary.

In IE, I've cleared History, Files, Content, Cookies, but the list in Word
persists. I cannot find the site names using Search from the Desktop, or even
within the Registry.

Thanks very much.

G'day (e-mail address removed) (POB5108),

recent files for the browser are stored in the registry - and that's
where this list comes from

Tweak XP Pro, from Total Idea (www.totalidea.com) includes a utility to clear
this list, plus a bunch of other stuff.

Thanks...but where in the Registry? After clearing History, Cookies, Temporary
Internet Files, and Content in IE, a few of these items persisted in the Word
list. I then searched the Registry for the items using one of the words in its
name as listed in Insert Hyperlink > Browsed Pages. The search turned up
nothing.

I finally downloaded a shareware product called PurgeIE, which did the trick.
The site, www.purgeie.com, has a lot of info on what may cause the problem.

Thanks. I'll check this out. After sending my first post, I came upon and
downloaded PurgeIE (shareware) from www.purgeie.com, and it worked to clear the
list.
