insert addresses from my contacts folder in Outlook into my Word .

I am attempting to insert addresses from my contacts folder in Outlook into
Word 2003. My previous version of Word 2000 worked in the past. When I select
the address book on Word 2003, the program states that Outlook is not
selected as the default mail client, when it actually is. It also states that
I need to run Microsoft Exchange because there was a log on failure. Please
advise...

This sounds very much as if you're not using OUTLOOK, but outlook Express. These
are not the same thing, and OE cannot be accessed by Word.

If you really are using Outlook, then try asking in an Outlook newsgroup. The MS
Exchange message means there is some problem at the Outlook end.
