"Input not Supported" during XP startup w/ Radeon 7500

I have an Athlon PC running XP Home with a Radeon 7500 video card. Nothing
was changed in the video setup or anywhere else today. I rebooted at one
point, and now it shows the POST (visible but "squished vertically", and as
soon as it goes into "graphical mode" during the boot of XP (where the
progress bar normally displays), the monitor now says "Input not supported".
When it gets to the XP desktop, all is fine again.

I've noticed that during the POST, the text is squished vertically to about
2/3 of the screen, where it used to take up the entire screen. Something
seems has changed the default video mode of the Radeon. I even did a
Windows System Restore to yesterday, but the POST screen(s) still show up
more squished than usual, and the input message is still displated during
Windows startup. I don't think it's a "windows" problem because even after
shutting down and rebooting, it still has a different video mode during the
POST than it used to and my Windows system has been restored to yesterday's
configuration which was working fine.

Anyone have any ideas how to get my video system back to the way it was
before?

Thanks in advance,
-- Vinnie
