I have IE 8. When using InP;rivate browsing, is it necessary to disable
toolbars and extensions when InPrivate browsing starts?

Thank you.

Hi,
It shouldn't be necessary. Have you had a problem with InPrivate Mode?

Thanks for your response, Don. No, I have had no problems. But, when one goes
to Tools >Internet Options > Privacy, at the bottom of the page in the box
denominated "InPrivate," one is given the choice to either disable toolbars
and extensions or not do so. The choice to do so was checked when I first
went to the page (I presume by default), and I just did not know if that
selection was necessary for InPrivate browsing. Again, thank you for your
quick response.

Don, I just found out that when you permit toolbars and extentions in Private
Browsing, the History remains clean, i.e., does not record sitesl, but the
browsers do record the sites. For example, if you use Google, the Google
History will record the site and you must click the down arrow and then
'Clear History' to erase site visited..
