Inporting ACT Notes/History

I know this is mostly me and not understanding the journal vs. notes/history
in ACT but here it goes...

I have used ACT to Outlook import (demo) and see in the journal my notes and
histories but, they appear to be the notes and histories only for me and not
my other contacts. Does anyone know of a way to import the notes/histories
directly into the Business Contact History Items? Am I going to have to have
a labotomy to remove my ACT way of thinking?

Also, will the items in Bus. History stay there forever?

Thanks!

B.:

Yes, the Business Journal in BCM is the same as notes/history in ACT!. You
might want to change the view in BCM to show Journal by contact.

When you import your ACT! database, BCM will import the notes/history and
attach them to the contacts they were attached to in ACT!. You can also go
into each contact record in BCM and see them in Business History within the
contac record.

Make sure you import your ACT! database as an ACT! database and not as .CSV
or notes/history won't import.

Hope that helps,
Lon

I don't understand how to import my ACT database as something other than csv
file. I have read here that ACT is not supported.
Thanks.
