Innovision USB 2.0 / Firewire Combo causes hang on startup

I just installed an Innovision DM-007 USB 2.0/ Firewire combo card,
and it causes my Windows 2000 (SP3) installation to hang on startup.
I've downloaded the latest driver from the Innovision site, and it
appeared to install fine, but the devices showed as "disabled" in
device manager after a reboot. If I enable them, Windows hangs on
staryup.

I have a Via Motherboard, which has USB 1.0 built-in. Could this be
the problem?

Does anyone have any other ideas??

Should be easy to disable on-board USB controller in CMOS setup and give it
a try.
