Index not displaying

When I START>HELP AND SUPPORT>INDEX all I get in the index pane is a red X in
a small box in the upper left corner of the pane. If I key a word to search
for it will display the index for all refs to the word. Can someone tell me
how to correct this?

Thanks Neil! But it did not do the trick for me. Should alert people to check
their windows directory and change the VBS script if needed.

J followed the link and did the approiate update for Windows XP Pro with SP2
but no luck still no listing of index.

If you applied the MS03-015 on a SP2 system, then it's wrong.
