incorrect product key

hi

Am installing student/teacher edition 2003 of ms office. Entered product
key when prompted during install, no problem.

But when I open any of the applications (Excel, for example), it asks for
the product key again. When I enter it, it says it is incorrect.

Worried because it says I only have limited times to open the apps without
resolving product key issue or they lose functionality.

Could it be that I entered a typo in the product key when installing and am
entering accurate key in the app? If so, how do I find that and fix it? If
not, what is going on??

Hi

You could reload the Office suite (put the disk in again and it should auto
run).

Don't click repare when the disk runs - click delete offie - reboot - then
reinsert the disk and reload.

Be VERY careful when you enter the product key and if pos connect your
machine to the web before running office for the 1st time - this will mean
you will not have to retype the key as the authorisation will be automated
on-line.
