Incorrect Page Numbering

E

EN

When I go to print a Word document the page numbers are
off by one-page. Instead of 1,2,3..., I get 2,3,4...

When I do a View Header and Footer, all the page numbers
are correct; they just won't print correctly.

The documents are printouts of legal rulings with two
columns of text on each page.

I am using Word 2002 with Windows XP Home Edition.

I tried the Microsoft help document, "283292 - WD2002:
Starting Page Number Is Incorrect After You Delete Even-
Page Section Break" to no avail.

On the Layout tab of Page Setup, see whether "Section start" is set to "Even
page." This would cause Word to insert a blank page before "page 1."
