Incoming Connection Setup

Hello!

I am trying to configure my home computer to accept VPN incoming
connections. The only device I can select to accept these connections is
"Direct Parallel (LPT1). Can I tunnel through the internet from a separate
location to gain access to my home network via home computer's network card?

Thanks
Nathan

If the VPN server/host PC is behind a firewall/router then you need TCP Port
1723 open and make sure the firewall/router can pass GRE Protocol 47
traffic. Note that is *NOT* TCP/UDP Port 47...

Beyond that another alternative is XP Pro Remote Desktop or UltraVNC, if
your PC is running XP Home, and/or running a SSH server and tunneling either
Remote Desktop or UltraVNC through the tunnel. Personally I use copSSH and
Tunnelier and run Remote Desktop through the tunnel to access my home LAN
and PCs. SSH uses TCP Port 22 as its default port although that can be
easily changed...
