Inbox Sorting "Issues" in Outlook 2003

I have an issue that annoys me in Outlook 2003. We are using an exchange
server and I normally can sort by the From field and search for a specific
e-mail someone sent me. The issue is that for some reason, people with the
names that start with "T" when sorted the highlighted item jumps to "A"
instead. This issue occurs with other senders as well but not all senders.

I've tried the "Detect and Repair" function and that didn't solve the
problem. I've even tried reinstalling Office 2003. What can I do to fix
this problem?

I'd try resetting the view.
