inbox message disappears when forwarded or replied

When I hit reply, reply to all, or forward to a message
that has come into my inbox, the message is sent
correctly but then original message disappears from my
inbox. It does appear in my sent box.

This started 3 days ago. Before original message
remained in inbox and forwarded message was in sent box.
I checked rules. Any ideas?

Check your view settings - they are probably set to hide read messages.

In Tools...Options you can specify what to do with original message after
forwarding or replying. Check there.
