Inbox Icons

I have a new computer with Office 2000. In Outlook, when
I forward or reply to an email the respective message icon
in my inbox does not change to reflect that the message
has been forwarded or replied to. How do I get those
icons to show this change in status?
 
Hi, there you did not by any chance find a solution to your Inbox icons not changing once you had replied or forwarded and email in Outlook? If so I would be very appreciated if you could let me in on this little mystery.
