Hello everyone,
My inbox does not show my new messages, but all my deleted messages all of a

We need more information from you, such as your Outlook version and the
account type you're using. State as well exactly what causeds the messages to
reappear. Do you close and reopen Outlook? Do you reboot Windows? Do you
visit another folder and return to the original? Do you click Send/Receive or
does a send/receive event occur?

Hi Brian,
Thank you for your response. This is what I have:
---Outlook Version 2002
---Account type(?) SP3? If that is not it, then I don't know where to find it.
---The deleted messages appeared out of the blue.
---The user closes Outlook and turns off the computer every night and to the
best of my knowledge, clicks Send/Receive and a send/receive. does occur. If
a send/receive occurs, then new messages should show up in the Inbox, but
they don't appear.
I would also venture to say that the user did visit another folder and did
return to the original during the session. (The user has already left for the
day).

Thank you again,
Regards

Exchange, POP/SMTP, or IMAP/SMTP?

But when do the deleted items return? I'm trying to get you to typify what's
occurring when this happens so as to get a handle on what may be causing it.

Hi Brian,
It is a POP/SMTP. The deleted items return when Outlook is opened up.

Another question: User has learned that her new received emails are being
re-routed to another person and wants to know how to route them back to her
inbox. Someone is hacking her account.

Log into the mail server's web interface and change the password to something
unguessable containing a mixture of upper and lower case letters, digits, and
special characters. Remove any forwarding rule on the server. Log out and
change the account settings in Outlook to match the new credentials.
