Inadvertent hidden user account

In WinXP Home, I changed the default owner name to my name and added two new users with “control userpasswords2†applet. My name no longer appears in the welcome screen or in the user accounts in the control panel. I can still access the account with Ctrl+Alt+Delet, but now it only has guest privileges. I need to know how to grant this account administrative privileges. Thanks

Hi,

Go to Run and type 'control userpasswords2' (without the quotation
marks). Selec the account you're using and click on properties.

Then go to the Tab 'groups,' tick 'others' and in the drop down menu
that appears, select 'Administrators.' OK your way out.

This should give your account administrative privileges.

Good luck, hope this helps.

I've attempted to lcate this particular hidden acount, but it niether appears in the control userpasswords2 applet, the welcome screen or the user accounts in the control panel, whether I'm logged in under the account name, an Administrative Account I've created since, or the Administrator Acount in Safe Mode. I've also looked for the appropriate Dword in the reigistry. Thanks for the quick response.
