In Word, we like to track changes. How can we show the changes with the
changes in boxes out to the side, rather than the traditional underline and
strike through.

If you have Word 2002 or 2003, you can use "balloons" in the margin, but
only for insertions (in Original view) or deletions (in Final view).
Comments are also in balloons.
