In shared Outlook calendar day events default to begin/end times

All of a sudden, events that have been entered as day events are showing on
our shared Outlook calendar with begin and end times--so instead of being a
one day event, the calendar now shows the event as two days, which is
incorrect. How do I correct this?

Check the time zone settings in outlook of the person who is either creating
or editing the meeting.

As the creator of calendar events and traveler who wants my computer to
display the correct time wherever I go, what is proper procedure?

I usually make sure that, if it's different from my current default time
zone, that I specify what time zone I'm entering the time in. For
instance: I'm at home in Honolulu presently, but I have a conference in
New Orleans in a couple of weeks. Any events I enter for the New
Orleans conference I make sure to enter in the local time zone for New
Orleans. While I'm in New Orleans, I'll have my time zone changed
(temporarily) to that time zone and any appointments I enter for after
the conference I need to make sure to specify that they're for Hawaii
time.

This is only easily accomplished in Outlook 2007 of course.
