In pwrpnt...can I write text first and add images beneath later?

I am trying to make a presentation for which the images will be available at
a later date. I want to make all the text boxes and format them and then
slip the images under the formatted text boxes after I receive them. I have
been practicing with images to see if this is possible. Even if I use the
tab key to my text remains behind the images I add.

Using the Tab key will let you select the text behind the image or the shape
you're using to represent the image. You'll need to use the "send to back /
bring to front" options to change the order (the "layers") on the slide.

So when you insert a picture, hit Send to Back to put it behind the text. If
you'll tell us which version of PPT you're using, we can tell you the
fastest way to do that.
