In Outlook 2003 how can I share a calender in real time

Hello. I am looking for a solution for having the ability to share a editable
calender under Win XP/Outlook 2003, with others users on the same network, so
that days blocked by one user, lets say for vacation, can be seen in real
time, if possible, by other users and changes made by anyone reflect to all
others.

Preferably the solution should be from within Outlook 2003 or Word.

Thank you

Do you have an Exchange Server in the office? It would allow you to do
this...

Thanking you once again.

Very Informative. Please leave the question be if you are not interested in
answering or helping.

I would appreciate if someone else would care to reply. MS Exchange is
present.

Thank you

I think Vince was trying to tell you how to find out if you have Exchange in the office. For information on how to share with Exchange, see http://www.slipstick.com/exs/pfshare.htm

Thank you Sue for your reply and direction.
Vince, no harm done. Maybe I was a bit over zealous myself.

Hope you guys have a good week.

Hi Sue,

we have about 15 users running outlook 2003 on a sbs server. I thought
anyone could access anyone elses calneder using exchange, but I cant see how
to do it - am thinking of a 3rd party plug in so we can share tasks &
contacts & use outlook as our CRM (looking at "group outlook")- any help
would be most appreciated.

You don't need any additional tools. What you need is appropriate permissions for the shared calendars so that you can access them through the File | Open | Other User's Folder command. Each user sets permissions on the Properties page of their own Calendar folder.

Thanks Sue - that is great information - we are now set up to read /edit one
anothers calenders. I think we will also set up global address lists for
suppliers, customers & prospects. - next I need to try & find out if we can
see all e-mails sent to " a new prospect" for example. I will have a play
with the e-mail folders

Cheers

Phil
