I defined an Input Mask entry as !LL0-00 to achieve entries in a text field
with a length of 6 to appear as EN1-80, etc. When I test the Input Mask in
the wizard, it appears ___-__ as expected. When I make entries in the
affected field in the table, the mask displays the hyphen as I enter all
characters. However, when I move to a different record, the new entry based
upon the Input Mask deletes the - character, to result in EN180. I attempted
to add similar entries in the Input Mask Edit List to troubleshoot, but all
result in the same problem. Zip Code or Phone masks that include - work fine.
I tried to repair Office, but nothing works!!

With an Input Mask, you have the option of storing the hyphen or not.
?Perhaps you picked/defaulted to "not"?
