Importing/syncing in Outlook

I have a user with two different computers. He is using an IMAP account in
both of them. Both machines have the same folders in Personal Folders (there
are quite a few). However, the user will use the machines at different
times, thus moving mail off the server and on to his hard drive. The
problem, obviously, is that the mail is now on one machine and not the other.
He wants to have the same emails on one machine. My question is this:

If I import the Outlook.pst file from machine to the other, choose the
option to not import duplicates, will I then essentially have "synced" the
folders and have all the mail on one machine?

For example, let's say Computer 1 has the following folders in Personal
Folders:

Mike
Dave
Steve
Lou

Computer 2 has the same folders. However, the "Mike" folder in Computer 1
has more email than the "Mike" folder in Computer 2. If I import the .pst
file from Computer 1 to Computer 2, choose the option to not import
duplicates, will Computer 2 now have all the email from the "Mike" folder?

I'd greatly appreciate any help on this. Thank you.

IMAP does NOT move mail off the server unlesss the user chooses to do so. If
your user is doing this, then he's causing the problem. Tell him to stop
doinfg it, and the two machines will show identical mail folders with
identical content....

Goron, I am well aware that the user has to move mail off of the server. You
must understand that the user has a finite amount of storage space so he
either has to delete mail from the server or move it to his Personal Folders.
I'm not concerned about the mail on the IMAP server. I'm concerned about
the mail in Personal Folders (i.e. stored on the hard drive) on two different
machines. I'd like to know if importing from one machine to other while
choosing the "do not import duplicates" option will effectively "sync" the
mail so all of it is on one machine.
