Importing Outlook Contacts on Network

D

dennis

I have two computers networked, both XP Home both Office
XP. I want to import the contacts in OUtlook from one
machine to the other. There is over a thousand so this
will be the easiest way.

I want to use the import/export function but do not know
what file Outlook stores the contact data in. If I knew
the file extension I could search for it.

Help says drive:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Can someone help me.

I wouldn't use import/export. All outlook data is stored in a Personal
Folders file (*.pst). If you want to know the name and location of your PST
file, just examine the the properties of Outlook's root folder. Then just
open that file with the second Outlook installation and Copy/Paste what you
need into the second installation's folders.
