Importing OE Messages

Hi,

On a new Vista Home install, I tried importing outlook express messages. I
copied the files from the C:\Documents and Settings\...\Local
Settings\Application Data\Identities\...\Microsoft\Outlook Express directory
and put them on a cd.

I then went to import them with Vista in Windows Mail 7 and it doesn't see
any importable outlook express 6 files.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

You have to put the dbx file on the hard drive.

Create a folder named C:\Mail
Copy all the dbx files to it.
Be sure to include the Folders.dbx file as it is required

Now, import from C:\Mail

Hi Tom
I was able to import the dbx files and have folders added to my current
vista windows mail. BUT strangely, only older files from 1999 to 2001 were
copied which do not seem to be present in my current inbox files.
I am missing all the current 2004-2007 email files that were present in my
OE folders. What happened to them???? why didn't they come with the dbx
files??Thanks
Henry
