importing mini dvds

I can't get moviemaker to recognize my mini dvd movies. It says something
like it can't be imported or doesn't support the file type. How do I convert
VOB, IFO, BUP files to something that it will recognize? Is there a free
program that will do this or am I missing something here?

I downloaded it and tried it out but can't figure out how to convert any
files, the only thing I can do is get the video pictures up but nothing
else, no sound etc. The help files don't tell much of anything.

If you are having trouble with these, maybe look at an easier way of doing
it by buying an app which will import mpegs directly.

I did a test when the first dvd camcorders came out and found Ulead
videostudio was very good.

Juast wanted to tell you I finally figured out how to use the videodub. I
found some instructions someplace in my searches and was able to convert to
AVI and win movie maker likes AVI

If you have winavi,you can convert vob files to miniDVD.It supports
that.And IFO,BUP,don't need convert.
