Importing From Outlook Express 5

Hi,
I have a brand new computer with Visat Home Premium and Office 2007. On my
old computer my email was in Outlook Express v 5. I have copied the .dbx
files from the old computer to the new computer, but I cannot import them
into Outlook 2007. Each time I run the wizard it fails to locate the files.
The option to locate the files is no longer available.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Garry

Import them into Windows mail first - then EXPORT to Outlook.

Import them into Windows mail first - then EXPORT to Outlook.

Same Problem.

There is no provision for importing from OE 5.0 There is also no
provision to point to a directory so Mail cannot find the emails.

Outlook Express V5 and V6 both use the same DBX format. Windows Mail should
be able to import them as OE6 files.

I have the same situation happening. I was on OE5, have DBX files, and I
cannot import them. The only difference is that I'm using Windows XP. When I
go to do the import, it does not list OE5 as an option....just OE4 & OE6.

This is in Outlook Express, correct? Since OE5 and OE6 use the same format
files, give it a try.
