hi,
i am importing data from excel 2002 to acess 2002 one of the fields being
imported is currency, however i have noticed that if the value is over
£999.99 then the system seems to throw it out. i have a few values that are
in the thousands that is is not accepting.
in acess the feld value is set to currency (2 decimal place).

Does anyone know how i can set this so that i can import values in the
thousands

thank you
Sheena

Is there a thousands placeholder like a comma or period? This can cause
problems if the computer's regional and currency settings are different from
what is expected in the spreadsheet. As a test, you might manually deleting a
few of the placeholders in the spreadsheet to see if the data is imported.

Also if you are dealing with the Euro instead of Pound, there is a special
currency format of Euro.

in Excel the values is written as £1,542.69 does this mean if i remove the
comma it should import to Access. I am dealing with the pound.

It should import as is. I'd try removing the pound sign. Then the comma. Then
both. You shouldn't need to remove the period.
