Importing Contacts to Outlook '03 under Exchange

Outlook 2003, under Exchange (unknown version)
Trying to import Contacts, either .xls or .csv

When I Click
Fels->Import and Expoer->Impoer from Another Program or File->Microsoft Excel
I browse to and select my .xls file. Next screen is to choose where to
import to, offers only my "Personal Files" folder. Contacts resides at
"\\Mailbox - [my user name]. (Personal Files is in My Documents on a Personal
folder on a server.)

Happens the same for .csv file

Any idea where I went wrong, or a workaround?

Click Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or change existing e-mail accounts>Next.
What's listed in the "Deliver new e-mail to the following location" drop-down
at the lower left?
