I have created a range. I called it "outlook". I saved the file. I closed the
file. Still getting the "no named ranges" msg.

Don't have the links handy that point to explainations of Excel <named
ranges> and Outlook import (also explained in Excel help file). However, a
quick solution is to save your worksheet as a CSV file and import that
instead - named ranges not relevant for this approach.
