Importing Alpha-Numeric value into Access

Hi All,
Can you please help me how to import alpha-numeric fields into access? I am
trying to import (using wizard) an xls table where i have several alpha
characters in several cells. When imported into access some of them are not
there. Some alpha characters are not in the access table. Please help me how
to solve the issue. Thanks in advance.

During the import, click on "Advanced..." and set the column to "Text"

An alternate approach would be to link to the Excel file, use queries to
"parse" the data, and append it to your more-permanent (and well-normalized)
Access tables.
