Importing a date field from txt file to Access

Hi - I have a text file that I am trying to import into Access. The date
fields are in the format 2004-12-31. The import wizard recognizes this as a
date field and tries to import it as a date but when it finishes, all I end
up with is a blank field and a type conversion error. Is there some reason
that although the wizard knows it is a date field, that it won't import it?
Will I have to import it as text and then convert? Thanks!

i fear you have to use your text-convert approach
do you get a second table with the errors?
