Imported messages from Windows Mail, but some are missing

I imported messages from Windows Mail to Outlook 2007. It only imported
messages up to 6/7/07 - nothing newer. Why? There are 3 options in my inbox
- older, last month, and today. Hubby says there should be yesterday, last
week, etc., but it didn't set it up that way and I can't find out how to set
it up myself that way.
Can anyone help? I have always used Outlook Express until I switched to a
new computer with Windows Vista. I was just going to use Windows Mail, but
have heard that Outlook is safer in terms of being hacked.

Since you have nothing newer than a month ago, why should your views show you categories that are empty? If you got all your mail from Windows Mail and the newest is from June 7, try sending yourself a test message and see what happens to the groups.

I have messages in my Windows Mail Inbox from 2/2007 through 7/7/2007. When
I did the import to Outlook, it imported from 2/2007 through 6/7/2007. It
didn't import anything from 6/8/2007 through 7/7/2007 - the date I originally
posted this question and the date I began using Outlook 2007. Basically, it
appears the import stopped at 6/7/2007 - which fell in the category of "last
month." I don't understand why it didn't import the rest of "last month" -
only through the 7th. When I did the import into Outlook 2007, I didn't set
anything up - didn't know I was supposed to, actually. My knowledge of
Outlook is limited, but I want to try using it as I've heard it has much more
functionality than Win Mail and I'd like to use it for my business contacts
and in conjunction with another program I use for my business.

Unfortunately, as a dental hygienist, we kept records the old fashioned way
- in patient charts - so I didn't need to use contact management software.
Now, with my new business, contact management is important as well as email
communication. Rather than keeping things in my Inbox indefinitely, it's my
understanding that I can organize saved emails more effeciently in Outlook.
I just can't figure out how to get the messages from 6/8/2007 through
7/7/2007 imported. Now that I've been using it for a few days, I have the
categories: "today, yesterday, last week, last month, and older." The
program is functioning fine . . . I have the emails from 2/2007 through the
date I did the import - EXCEPT those from 6/8/2007 through the day I began
using Outlook.

Does my question make more sense now? I do have things older than a month
ago which it imported just fine. It just stopped on 6/7/2007 and I don't
know why it didn't import for 6/8/2007 - date of import.

Thanks for your time.
