Import trouble form Excel to Access

You are running into the problem that Acces and Excel do
not use the same formatting criteria. The safest way to
import data into Access in a transfer table is to convert
all of your data into text (eliminating formula,
presenting all data as values) then running queries to
convert that data into the destination Access table
formatted the correct way. OF special concern are date
fields, fileds which contain either all numbers and
alphanumeric values.

I've done this often and automated it successfully by
running excel macros to convert the incoming data and the
queries to format the data in Access.

Another way is to use excels clean function to "clean" the
data before hand.
