Import Text Data

When I import a large text file with about 250,000 records, Access will drop
the first couple characters in about 100 of the records. I've been able to
verify that the missing characters are in the text file, but not in the
Access table after the import. Any suggestions on how to prevent this from
happening??

The first thing is to scrutinise the text file to find out what is
different about the records that aren't imported correctly - or about
the records that precede them. Pay particular attention to the
character(s) that separate the records: these should normally be CR+LF -
aka Chr(13) & Chr(10) or, in hexadecimal, 0D0A.
