Import problem

I exported the contacts file from Outlook 2003 SP2 (Basic Edition) and
imported it into my Outlook 2000 (Internet Mail Only). The one thing that
did not come over with the import was the "file as" field (it did not export
either). If I had Outlook 2003 version would that work or is this not
possible? Now that I have the imported contacts list I have to manually go
and change the "file as" field for each individual contact. Any ideas anyone?

File As is a derived field and they don't import or export. Importing and
exporting is rarly the proper way to transfer data between two Outlook
instances.

Next time, don't export or import. Instead, in the Outlook 2003 system,
create a new Outlook 97-2002 format PST and copy the Contacts folder to it.
Then close the PST in Outlook (right-click the root and choose Close), close
Outlook, and transfer the PST by whatever means you have to the other PC.
In that Outlook, open the PST with File>Open>Personal Folders File. Either
use the Contacts folder in that PST just where it is or open it, select all
of its contents with CTRL-A, then copy the selection to the default Contacts
folder.
