I am running Outlook 2007 (Vista) and Windows Mail e-mail programs on the
Same PC. I would like to Import\Transfer my Outlook 2007 Address
book....into Windows Mail.

Can that be done and if so, what are the steps to follow?

Within Outlook: 'File|Import and Export|Export to a file|Comma Separated
Values'
Witnin Windows Mail: 'File|Import|Windows Contacts|CSV (Comma Separated
Values)'

When I opened Windows mail....followed your steps....clicked on CSV, the next
widow that opens is Browse for File...I naviaget to my Folder where my
Outlook .pst file resides....It shows no Files of this type.

If I open Outlook 2007 and follow your insructions, there are 2 Export
selections neither of which are CSV.

Please guide me from start to finsih either using Windows Mail or,
Outlook...its clear I don't get it. Thanks

I guess not...

Within Outlook: 'File|Import and Export|Export to a file|Next|Comma
Separated Values' - either "DOS" or Windows" will do. This creates a .CSV
file. When this file has been created:

Within Windows Mail: 'File|Import|Windows Contacts|CSV (Comma Separated
Values)' and browse to the .CSV file you created. This imports the .CSV
file into Windows Contacts.

Yes, as long as you use the common exchange format known as
CSV (comma separated values). Export from WM, import into Outlook.
Note, not all characteristics may transfer, such as group membership.
If Outlook is installed on the same machine, have you tried its import
function to see if it will recognize Windows Contacts directly?

Ok, I'm trying to do the same thing because my Outlook quit letting me send.
However, I don't even know where to look for my Outlook Address Book files.
Now what?
