Import option grayed out in Windows Address Book, cannot Import LDIF

In Windows XP Home Editon SP1 (all updates installed) I clicked Start | Run,
enter wab, and click OK to open the Windows Address Book. The Windows
Address Book (WAB) opens and there is no title name appearing in the blue
title area. When I click File for the drop down menu the Import option is
grayed out. I need to import an exported address book file in LDIF format
into the Windows Address Book in Windows XP.

How do I solve this problem?

Yes, same result. I did find the solution.

When I installed Outlook 2000 in Windows XP, Outlook defaulted to sharing
the Address Book. I unshared it using this registry edit:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WAB\WAB4]
"UseOutlook"=dword:00000000

UseOutlook = 1 (shared address book)
UseOutlook = 0 (address book not shared)
