Import of data

Hello,
I have two like tables in access, one where i have data as a backup from an
external source the other is the use database that i want to work with that
is local to the access database. is there a way to make a macro or a query
that will flush the local table and import all the data from the
backup/external table?

create a delete query and an append query. You could put
both in a macro.

If you havn't added any new fields to your local tables, why not just link
them? If you don't want to do that, then just create a delete query for you
tables and import the new data into the existing tables.
