Import from OE6 via CSV File...Is it possible???

Good Afternoon,

I have a customer that just bought a new PC with Vista. He is trying to
move his OE6 mail from XP Home to WinMail in Vista Home Premium. He saved
the mail as a CSV file and Windows Mail doesnt appear to have that
option...unless I am overlooking something.

Is this method of importing OE6 Mail to WinMail possible and if not, what is
the preferred method??

You can import Contacts via a .csv file, but not messages.
And Contacts can be imported from the OE .wab file, without going to/from
..csv.

The normal procedure is to copy the .dbx & .wab files from OE to the Vista
computer.
In Windows Mail, File - Import - Messages - MOE6 - OE6 store directory

navigate to the folder containing the .dbx files (but do not open that
folder!).

To import the contacts, File - Import - Windows Contacts - Windows Address
Book file - import

Thanks for the reply, Dave. Looks like what I thought it would be. I
appreciate your steps as well.

If you used Outlook Express on the old computer, see
