Import from Excel to User-Defined Field on Custom Form

S

Stephen

1) I have created a User-Defined Field called "Greeting" that appears
nicely on my Custom Form. Its Properties are TEXT.
2) I have named my range in EXCEL that includes this heading, and when I
try to import, the wizard shows "Import "Greeting" into folder: Contacts"
3) When I press "Map Custom Fields..." my new field does not appear
anywhere!
4) Is there a method, please, to show & map my User-Defined Fields in
this "To:" list, otherwise it's a very slowwww process to do it by hand!

The Outlook import wizard does not support custom forms or user-defined
fields in folder. The button caption "Map Custom Fields" is probably one of
the worst captions that could have been selected since it causes a lot of
confusion.

To import to any custom fields you need to either use a 3rd party product or
write your own code. You may find info here of interest:
http://www.contactgenie.com/cg20features.htm - (all CG products support
custom fields).
