Import/Export Limitations

We have a large database with over 450 fields. We know that Excel has a
column limitation if you export to Excel. Does Access have that column
limitation too? What is the maximum number of fields that can be exported to
Access?

What is the best format to use? We tried exporting from our database as a
..csv and .xls and it truncates the exported fields.
