hi,
I'm helping someone with a very bad virus on her computer. she bought
an laptop with viste, and want to use her mail from the old computer.
the problem is the old computer does nothing anymore, so i wasn't able
to create an good export.
The strange thing is that te solution he in this group always link to
the oehelp site, but there is the text, if i understand it well, that
you have to put the files in an folder in the documents folder. i have
that allready, i have not yed put the option off of read only, but the
problem is that when i go to the map with the import function, the dbx
files does not show up anyway (and yes, tje folders.dbx is in it). or
is the problem realy that when the are not marked as read only
anymorge that they will appear in the import screen? it sounds strange
to me, this more sound like that he dont see the dbx as en filetype
that he could use? does someone know what the problem is? or is it
realy the read only?

If the .DBX files are set Read Only, Windows Mail will not even acknowledge
they exist. You MUST remove the READ ONLY setting.
