Import data

Hi,

I am importing an excel spreadsheet into access.

I want to specify the data type in the import wizard - it is automatically
calling one of the fields "double" I want to change this to "text" .

Does anyone know how to do this

Jeff,
If this is a one time import what I would do is save the exel
speadsheet as a .csv file then use the text import wizard. With the
text import wizard you can click the Advanced tab and tell access to
import a double as a text field. Hope this helps
