Import contacts - they don'T appear in the adress book

I imported contacts in Outlook 2003 from an excel file. These contacts are
in a contact folder named "excel contacts" and I can see all of them by
clicking on the contact folder.

My problem is when I create a new message, I type the beginning of the name
of an imported contact, click on "check names" to get it completed but
outlook doesn't find it. I select "show more names" and then the "excel
contacts" folder, and there are no contacts listed under "excel contacts".

I selected the check box in proterties | Outlook adress book | show this
folder as an e-mail adress book and I still have this problem.

What can I do?

I'm sorry I was wrong about my problem, the contacts imported from excel are
ok.

My problem is about some contacts that were created from a synchronization
from another software (Maximizer Enterprise) so theses contacts were not
imported manually in Outlook. I think that my problem is coming from
Maximizer instead of Outlook then because if I export the contacts (those who
don't appear in my adresse book but they appear in the folder where they have
been created via synchronization) in an excel format ant I re-import them
manually, they are in my adress book after.

I not sure you can help me anymore, but thanks for your help.
