Immediate Send Attempt for Outlook 2002 E-mail

Lance

In all previous editions of Outlook I have used I have
been able to send e-mails while offline. They sit in the
Outbox until I choose Send/Receive when Outlook dials
out, sends the messages and moves them to the Sent Items
folder.

With Outlook 2002, it attempts to send the mail
immediately and continues to retry generating numerous
0x800CCC0D errors - Unable to find the e-mail server.

My Internet E-mail Connection settings have 'Connect
using my phone line' selected.

What setting can I alter to correct this?

Click on the Tools menu, then Options... On the Mail Setup tab, make
certain that "Send immediately when connected" is not checked. If it
is and you are not connected, my guess is that Outlook is trying to
make the connection.

Thanks Rich for your help, it worked!

I foolishly believed the prompt "...when connected" meant
what it said. It should just read "Send Immediately"

Thanks again - Lance
