Imbedded Visio Object Reverts to Previous Version

Have been working with a PowerPoint 2003 presentation with several
slides containing imbedded Visio 2002 diagrams . . . .

Went to update one of these -- when I select Visio Object > Open, Visio
appears to launch normally but the diagram is a previous version!

This is very disconcerting -- I can look at the slide and see the
current diagram but I cannot update it.

Anybody seen this problem? Solution?

Thanks,

Stephen Goldstein

Thanks for the tip. Appreciate it. Unfortunately, did not fix the problem.

I don't know enough about how the visio is stored . . . . It's in the
ppt, somewhere right?

But what provision is there for having multiple versions? 'Cause the
symptoms, again, are that 1) I can see version 2 of a diagram when I
look at the slide but 2) when after VISIO launches, I see version 1 in
the VISIO window.

Anyway, thanks for trying.

Nope. Didn't work. But I do appreciate your effort.

I've had one of my colleagues convert the VISIO to native PP objects so
we've been able to move on.

Thanks again,
