IMAP Account always gets whole message and not just the headers

I have an email account on an IMAP server and have used Outlook Express in the past as my email client.

I want to use the Calendar function from within Outlook 2002 and so thought that I may as well migrate my email client over from Outlook Express to Outlook at the same time.

All is well but the work with headers does not seem to function with the Inbox for my IMAP account now that it is Outlook. This was easy to manage and worked fine in Outlook Express but now in Outlook, the whole message is ALWAYS downloaded for the Inbox. Other folders work fine and only download the header information. Very annoying as the Inbox is where I want this feature mostly due to SPAM / JUNK and large attachment messages.

I have tried to change the mail group settings but this does not seem to make a difference.

Any ideas please?

Find out why Outlook always downloaded the full message and not just
the header. I have McAfee VirusScan installed and the 'On-Delivery
Email Scanner' was enabled.

One of the MANY reasons why people who know state time and again in these
Outlook newsgroups to alway disable the mail scanning feature of any
antivirus application.
