Images Rendering Too Large

Despite image width and height being given in the html source, images are all
loading much larger than the appropriate size in my Outlook 2007. I can't
seem to find anything that would make them bigger/smaller - zoom isn't
related as it makes the text too small. All html email I receive is doing
this. Take a look at this comparison: http://twitpic.com/gljd

I see someone asked back in May but there hasn't been a solution so far,
it's really quite frustrating.

In tools, options, mail format, is CSS enabled for font formatting? If not,
anything that uses CSS for formatting will be affected. Is the image size
set in the message source?

Hi Diane,

Yes css is enabled for font formatting and yeah as my first sentence says
image height and width are specified in the source. Still over large.

I did however edit my own HTML emails and got the images to load correctly
by adding this to the header:

<meta name="ProgId" content="Word.Document" />
<meta name="Generator" content="Microsoft Word 12" />
<meta name="Originator" content="Microsoft Word 12" />

Hi Andrew,

Not sure if this is related, but when I send emails with pictures that I
insert (Outlook 2007), and send the email out, the recieved email has a
smaller picture. Conversely, when I receive an email from someone with a
small image, logo, etc., I the images are so enlarged and pixelated that they
cause the scroll left and right bar to pop up.

The only thing I think is possible is that some how the macro or whatever MS
Outlook uses to the compress the image is corrupted. I can't find anywhere
where I can turn it off globally in Office 2007. I add this because, if I
create a document in MS Word and send it to email, the images are also
automatically compressed. AND I NEVER EVEN CHOSE THE OPTION TO COMPRESS THE
IMAGE.

Have you heard anything further about your issue? Is it possibly related to
mine? And if not, anyone read these posts, PLEASE, help me turn the feature
off. At this point is more of a nuisance because I can do without sending
images, but everytime I get an html email, the images are blown way out of
proportion and pixelated.

One other thing, if I reply one of these emails, the picture stays large.

Hi Fred,

I haven't yet found an answer to the question - hopefully someone out there
will know what is causing it. I've seen a few people around the net who have
this problem but nobody seems to be able to help with a definite answer :(
